Eaton Corporation Deputy Manager - SIOP in Pune, India

What you’ll do:

  1. People Management:

a) Has prior team management experience in the Materials Management domain

b) Should lead team by example, Guide, drive, motivate & engage team to deliver on all key functional expectations such as Supplier OTD,VMI Min-max performance, Logistics cost reductions & DOH improvements, Invoice Management, Supplier Negotiations

c) Should forge relations at all levels, collaborate internally with different teams, externally with suppliers/customers & work in the matrix reporting structures.

d) Understands and appreciates diversity of approaches and opposing perspectives on issues and adapting one’s approach to changing requirements & situations.

e) Shall own end to end responsibility of the team including Performance assessment, Team Career growth, assessing their skill set and mapping the training needs, Finance budget and forecast, Attrition mitigation etc

2.Customer Engagement and Satisfaction: – Drive customer engagement and satisfaction by meeting customer expectations and needs, build customer facing KPIs, voice of customer thru periodic meetings and ensuring timely resolution to customer queries/feedback etc. To plan, schedule and manage the defined business services, delivering to agreed timescales, budget, quality criteria and commitments

3.Continuous Improvement: To demonstrate a practical approach to continuous improvement of the processes which directly manage the delivery of our services & Champions Continuous Improvement projects to improve productivity of the team.

4.To identify and manage risk in his/her business activities and take responsibility for reporting risks in a timely, open and appropriate manner.

5.To Communicate SCM CoE Strategy and creates and align goals accordingly to teams and individuals.

6.Growth: Will be responsible for growth of the team & scaling of existing roles from the supplier planning standpoint

7.Technical Competencies & service delivery requirements:

a. Advanced Functional knowledge and exposure in Material Planning, Capacity Planning & other tools/techniques (MRP,SIOP, Inventory replenishment techniques & Inventory performance measures like ITR/ DOH, Supplier OTD, P2P)

b. Should be Strong negotiator & is able to work under complex scenario's

c. Excellent communication & presentation skills to work with teams from different geographies (Global, regional & local materials management teams)

d. Lead and drive Materials systems process to meet the Global / regional team’s daily, weekly and monthly reporting timelines.

e.Responsible for sharing with the team, best practices, continuous improvement of process, development of process standards, compliance with Materials planning processes, and reporting in alignment with the regional and global supply chain organization

f. Strong Working Knowledge ERP System specificallySAP/ Oracle / BI tools such as OBIEE,Qlik View, is required. (Strong Knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage)

g. Flexible in attitude and approach to accepting all tasks related to the position & Flexible attitude to work with the willingness to learn new skills when required

h. Driving Cost out and cost avoidance Projects

I. To report and escalate service issues in an appropriate and timely fashion and initiate timely, corrective action where required.

j. Process Centric: Develops the organization to make creativity and innovation a process rather than an occurrence, to address efficiency and process cycles

  1. Since this position is for Americas region, there should be readiness for night shift (6pm to 3 am)

Qualifications:

Any Graduate / PG especially MBA preferred

10 to 12 years of relevant experience related to Materials Planning, Inventory Management & supply chain management in global environments.

APICS CPIM certification or Equivalent will be an added advantage
