General Responsibilities

The Corporate Development team at Evertec is responsible for the identification, evaluation, and execution of strategic initiatives to support the company's growth and value aspirations. Such initiatives are primarily related to acquiring and integrating other companies or assets. At Evertec, the Corporate Development team manages the entire lifecycle of transactions, including strategic planning, sourcing, due diligence, deal structuring and negotiation, and post-merger integration.
As a Corporate Development Analyst, you would be responsible for working closely with the senior M&A team to support the execution of merger and acquisitions initiatives. This would primarily involve preparing materials such as company profiles, investment decks, board of director updates, status updates, and the creation and management of complex financial models. Essential duties and responsibilities include:
•Building and maintaining financial models, such as discounted cash flow (DCF) models, merger models, and accretion/dilution models, to analyze various scenarios, assess financial impact, and support decision-making by the senior and the executive team.
•Prepare presentation materials such as company profiles, deal presentations, model outputs, status updates, and others, ensuring professionalism, accuracy, and alignment with the senior team's objectives.
•Conduct market research to identify potential acquisition targets, industry trends, and competitive landscape to support M&A strategy and decision-making.
•Assist senior team in coordination with cross-functional teams, advisors, target shareholders, management, and others to ensure smooth execution of transactions and management of timelines.
•Assist with due diligence efforts, including research and analysis of target companies, review of information memorandums and financial information, and other relevant information to identify risks, opportunities, and potential deal issues.
•Assist in project management support, including developing project plans, progress tracking, and risk monitoring.
•Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and changes in regulations related to investment banking activities, and continuously improve skills and knowledge to enhance performance as an Analyst in investment banking.
 

 

Performs duties through methods and actions that are consistently ethical and in total compliance with the laws, applicable regulations, Code of Ethics, corporate policies and guidelines and rules of conduct. Completes corporate trainings and certifications intended for the detection and prevention of money laundering related activities and fraud, insider training and conflict of interest policies and procedures, as applicable.

 

Education and Experience Required

•Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related field.
•At least one (1) year of non-internship investment banking or M&A experience.
 

 

Knowledge and Skills Required

•Understanding financial concepts, analysis, valuation techniques, and modeling.
•Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
•Proficiency in financial software, modeling tools, and other relevant technology platforms.
•Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
•Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Additional Information

Monday to Friday from 9:00AM to 6:00PM 

Available to work extended hours, weekends and/or holidays as needed and the availability to travel as required supporting projects in the region.
