Position Title Associate Campaign Director for Marketing and Communications

Overview

Lead the development and execution of comprehensive communication strategies to support the work of the Office of Institutional Advancement.

Essential Duties:

  • Develop compelling content for diverse audiences while adhering to brand voice and objectives. Develop campaign case statement as well as description of priority areas and fundraising opportunities, craft donor proposals and stories, website development, including building a new fundraiser toolkit, prepare presentations, write talking points, craft campaign event communications, and create stewardship content.

  • Craft overarching communications plan, set messaging direction, and guide all communication efforts for PC’s comprehensive campaign in collaboration with the Campaign Director and colleagues from the Marketing and Communications Office.

  • Collaborate with Marketing and Communications, integrate campaign messaging into digital channels (social media, email marketing), craft engaging content, and analyze data to optimize reach and engagement. Leverage existing communications channels for storytelling about campaign giving and impact.

  • Develop communication plans for campaign events, manage logistics, and ensure consistent messaging across platforms. Present campaign communication plan to a broad range of stakeholders ranging from Trustees and members of the Campaign Steering Committee to Office of Institutional Advancement staff.

    Marginal Duties:

  • Perform all other duties as may be required.

    Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related field from an accredited institution required.

  • Five to seven years experience in higher education marketing and communications or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Familiarity with popular CMS platforms like Dupal or WordPress, for managing websites and developing online content.

  • Advanced proficiency in Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or Illustrator and familiarity with video editing software. HTML and CSS basics.

  • Intermediate knowledge of platforms like Account Engagement, Mailchimp, etc.

  • Proficiency with social media marketing strategy and execution.

  • Basic proficiency working with donor database platforms.

  • Proven success in developing and executing campaign communication, preferably in higher education with experience in Advancement-specific work.

  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills needed for all levels of communications, ranging from mass marketing solicitations to custom donor proposals, website, social media, events, etc.

  • Strong project management and collaboration abilities and the ability to work independently.

  • Experience with digital marketing and media relations to drive messaging about the campaign to alumni, donors, and the broader public.

  • Data analysis and reporting skills are a plus.

    Employee Status Full Time

    Salary Grade 20 (Min. $61,075/Mid. $79,398/Max. $97,721)

    Salary Information

Employees are normally hired between the minimum and the midpoint of a position’s grade range to which a position has been assigned, depending on experience and qualifications.
