Position Summary
We are currently seeking a skilled Light Duty Vehicle Mechanic to join our team in Prince Rupert, BC. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining and repairing light-duty vehicles, particularly pickup trucks used in construction operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our construction projects.
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on light-duty vehicles, including pickup trucks, to ensure safe and reliable operation.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and repair or replace faulty components as needed.
Conduct preventive maintenance tasks.
Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
Collaborate with other team members to prioritize vehicle repairs and ensure efficient use of resources.
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
May perform other duties as required
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintaining and repairing light-duty vehicles, preferably in a construction or industrial setting.
Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostic tools and equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Certified Mechanic/Interprovincial Red Seal Certification
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Must have a valid class 5 (or better ) driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
