NVR’s Manufact uring Plant in Prince George, VA is looking to add a team member to our maintenance team. While you will be the “go to” person for installing/fixing electrical issues you will also be expected to perform non-electrical maintenance work. Day Shift 6:00AM-2:30PM (Mon-Fri)

Starting pay $31.15 and higher based on experience.

Primary Responsibilities (Maintenance Technician III)

  • Work independently to inspect and maintain machinery and equipment in a manufacturing plant environment.

  • Identify and resolve equipment safety hazards and perform safety repairs as directed.

  • Conduct appropriate preventive and corrective maintenance throughout the plant.

  • Replace, overhaul, or fabricate broken and damaged components as needed, to include: wiring, relays, PLC's, switches, electric motors, user interfaces, digital & analog inputs/outputs, positioning devices, and controls.

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repairs: diagnose malfunctioning systems, isolate faults, determine correction actions, and organize & carryout repairs as necessary.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable electrical codes and Lockout/Tagout procedures, in order to execute repairs and maintenance.

  • Assist in the planning, development, and installation of facility upgrades and repairs including wiring, conduit, and electrical distribution equipment.

  • Operate and maintain various electrical and electronic equipment including 24VDC (and lower) control circuitry and 120/208/240/480VAC equipment and distribution panels IAW electrical code.

  • Apply a working knowledge of motor controllers, VFD's, sensors, and motion control devices to the maintenance of multi-axis automated machines.

  • Perform miscellaneous maintenance duties, as assigned.

  • Provide training and guidance to other Maintenance Technicians.

    Qualifications

  • 3 ye ars’ experience as an industrial maintenance technician

  • Ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics

  • Ability to work in a strong safety-focused environment

  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, more details available upon interview

  • Will be required to demonstrate mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance knowledge
