Summary

We are actively recruiting for a seasoned Operations leader for our Mid Atlantic Replenishment Center facility. The Director of Operations directs and implements the operational strategy, business process and systems for the overall distribution center, including order fulfillment, warehouse inventory management and transportation. They are also responsible for directing the management team to select, develop, and motivate personnel as well as assuring quality staffing at all levels of management while adhering to safety goals and objectives.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee all distribution functions including order processing, picking, packaging, shipping and receiving.

  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient levels of product to fulfill all orders.

  • Provide guidance to the management team in developing solutions and budgets for improving processes, maintaining facilities, and innovative problem solving.

  • Provide necessary equipment, tools and training to staff to ensure safe, secure, and efficient operations.

  • Manage the budget, coordinate warehouse schedules, and ensure everyone follows all company policies while on company property.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 8-10 years equivalent related work experience.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing a large distribution center.

  • Experience in inventory management and order fulfillment.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.

  • Excellent knowledge of budget development and administration, report analysis and employment law.

Experience Preferred

Strong mechanical aptitude a plus.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

  1. Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.

  2. When in a plant environment:

  • Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.

  • May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.

  • May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db. to 110 db.

  • May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.

  • Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
