What You Will Do

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Regional Transportation Planner. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating transport related activities from our global manufacturing sites to EMEA distribution centers, handling shipment planning and deviations from the standard process. You will closely collaborate with other departments and external service providers to ensure seamless inbound freight operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Process transportation requests originating from sending sites/plants and ensure the expeditious booking of shipments.

• Select the most suitable and cost-effective modes of transport and equipment for inbound freight, considering factors such as volume, distance, urgency, CO2 consumption and budgetary constraints.

• Coordinate slot planning with loading/unloading sites and respective punctual dispatch of shipments to DCs

• Follow-up on documentation checklist and ensure all documents are available in timely manner for any Transport and Customs related activities.

• Monitor the trajectory of shipments from initiation to successful unloading/receipt at DCs, including correct and timely milestone submission.

• Handle communication and customer service activities between internal and external parties via phone and email, collaborating with shipping/receiving sites and the assigned logistics service providers to orchestrate shipments according to all operational activities/requirements.

• Capture, address and support resolution of operational deviations, providing support for quality investigations and escalating any other issue that might interfere in the shipment execution.

• Vigilantly supervise the daily shipment tracker to ensure the fulfillment of all service level agreements.

• Support implementation of new shipping/receiving sites and/or new lanes between existing sites.

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Technical degree or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field

• 2 or 3 yrs of proven experience in transportation planning or logistics – supply chain management.

• Familiar with import/export customs formalities

• Experience in temperature control and GDP compliance shipping is preferred.

• Ability to challenge the current setup and suggest improvements.

• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
