What you will do

This role will be within our Cyber organization, working at the intersection of business strategy, security risk assurance, and security consulting across enterprise IT, Operational Technologies, and Third Parties.

As Business Information Security Officer - EMEA you will be the senior cybersecurity risk advisor to Europe, Middle East, and Africa business and business technology leaders, driving accountability for cybersecurity risk, shaping business strategy and security risk investment priorities.

You will oversee a team of professionals delivering security consulting and risk assessment products to your stakeholders across Applications and Software, Suppliers, Operational Technology, and Mergers and Acquisitions.

You will also use your knowledge of the business’ priorities and strategic direction to influence and shape the portfolio of cybersecurity products owned by your peers in Risk Management, Defence, as well as Access.

Specific responsibilities:

  • Understand business priorities, OKRs, and risk profile for projects in the EMEA business portfolio and the clusters you are responsible for.

  • Shape business and technology strategy to ensure defensibility and security-resiliency.

  • Provide transparency and drive accountability for risk and risk treatment with business and technology leadership.

  • Translate the evolving threat landscape into meaningful, actionable guidance to your business and business technology stakeholders.

  • Influence business investment portfolio to ensure pay-down of security debt and funding of necessary security capabilities.

  • Provide security consulting and risk assessment services to enable secure innovation and business outcomes.

  • Provide risk assessment products to ensure risk is identified, prioritized, and treated.

  • Improve strategies for the delivery of Business Information Security products to customers and partners across Enterprise IT, Operational Technology, business groups, and Suppliers.

  • Partner with peer risk organizations, business technology, and IT development and operations teams to align objectives and ensure outcomes.

  • Deliver high-quality work outcomes and customer service in a high-pressure, fast-paced setting to meet company needs.

Qualifications

What we are looking for

  • A bachelor’s degree.

  • 10 years of broad IT experience with 5 years of security risk management.

  • 5 years in a managerial capacity

  • Proven record of accomplishment articulating security risk to non-technical audiences and influencing business and technology strategy and investments accordingly.

  • Robust business acumen and understanding of finance and financial planning.

  • Broad-based understanding of the current threat landscape and trends.

  • Strong leadership presence, influencing, collaboration, communication information-sharing, and organizational skills

  • Comfortable at working with virtual, and diverse global teams of varied backgrounds and cultural experiences.

Preferred Competencies:

  • Experience within regulated environments which include (GxP. Sox, GDPR, NIS2)

  • Proven record of accomplishment of innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize in parallel.

  • Customer service orientation, eye for business value, and a bias for action.

  • Exercises independent judgment, strong decision-making, and problem-solving for key processes.
