What You Will Do

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically adept Procurement Workflow Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, with a focus on data pipelines, reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau, and preferably have experience in procurement data analysis. This role will be responsible for optimizing procurement workflows, analyzing data to identify process improvements, and providing actionable insights to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain robust data pipelines using ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to efficiently collect, cleanse, and integrate procurement data from disparate sources.

  • Design and implement advanced data models and data warehouses to support complex procurement analytics and reporting requirements.

  • Utilize SQL, Python, or similar programming languages to perform in-depth data analysis, including data mining, pattern recognition, and statistical analysis, to derive actionable insights from procurement datasets.

  • Create interactive and visually compelling dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent BI tools, incorporating advanced features such as drill-downs, filters, and custom visualizations to facilitate data exploration and decision-making.

  • Employ machine learning techniques, such as clustering, regression, and classification, to develop predictive models for procurement forecasting, demand planning, and risk assessment.

  • Implement data governance processes and standards to ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across procurement systems and databases.

  • Collaborate with IT teams to optimize database performance, enhance data security, and implement automation solutions for routine data management tasks.

  • Conduct performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries and data processing workflows to improve overall system efficiency and reduce processing times.

  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, tools, and best practices in data engineering, analytics, and visualization, and assess their applicability to enhance procurement data capabilities.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to stakeholders on data-related issues, including data interpretation, troubleshooting, and solution design.

  • Document technical specifications, data lineage, and metadata to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain data lineage for audit and compliance purposes.

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 1 or 2 yrs of proven experience as a data analyst, preferably in a procurement or supply chain environment.

  • Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using SQL, Python, or similar programming languages.

  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and extract actionable insights.

  • Familiarity with procurement processes, terminology, and best practices is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality of work.

  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Nice to have

  • Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools, such as Alteryx, Knime, DataStage.

  • Knowledge of advanced analytics techniques such as predictive modeling and machine learning.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement modules.

  • Experience in process optimization and workflow automation.
