Staff Accountant candidates will be interested in Jamie Benway with Robert Half's full-time opportunity with an innovative company. You will succeed in this Staff Accountant position if you can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. Other responsibilities include internal reporting during the monthly close, participation in compliance, interaction with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes. Located in the Portland, Oregon area, this position is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work. Major responsibilities

• Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation

• Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries

• Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

• Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable

• Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request

• Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

• Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process

• Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations

• Take part in various department-wide initiatives

• Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital lease

• Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting

• Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

• Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision

Requirements - Experience with ERP systems

• Month end closings experience desired

• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

• Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

• Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills

• Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Recent and relevant accounting experience

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

• Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
