Robert Half is seeking a part-time HR Specialist to join a local organization in Portland, Oregon on a contract basis. This role is ideal for individuals looking to apply their HR experience in a flexible work arrangement and utilize their HR knowledge to support 50+ employees.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the team with their recruitment efforts, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.

• Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including paperwork, orientation, and exit interviews

• Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with HR policies and regulations

• Coordinate training and development programs for employees

• Handle employee inquiries regarding benefits, payroll, and other HR-related matters

• Collaborate with the HR team to implement policies and initiatives that promote a positive work culture

This position has a flexible work schedule of 20 - 32 hours per week.

Requirements

• Previous experience in HR such as an HR Generalist, HR Specialist, HRBP, or other similar position

• Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite
