Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in the Manufacturing industry, based in PORTAGE, Michigan. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will have the opportunity to use your skills in a dynamic and challenging role. You will be instrumental in maintaining the financial health of our organization by performing a range of routine accounting activities and providing administrative support.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure efficient and accurate processing of customer credit applications

• Maintain and update customer credit records consistently

• Collaborate with the Accounting and HR teams to provide the best experience for customers and visitors

• Handle the vouchering of payment invoices and maintain the Accounts Payable inbox

• Assist with the maintenance of the general ledger and research invoice problems as they arise

• Review weekly payment registers and prepare various accounting statements and financial reports as necessary

• Carry out data entry tasks and invoice processing with precision

• Use Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, Oracle, and SAP for various accounting tasks

• Perform account reconciliation and check runs regularly

• Take on additional administrative work as assigned, including filing, and maintaining visitors and phone logs. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience in Account Reconciliation

• Knowledge of Check Runs and Coding Invoices

• Proficient in Data Entry

• Familiarity with Invoice Processing

• Ability to use Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Oracle software

• Familiarity with QuickBooks

• Knowledge of SAP software

• Manufacturing industry experience is a plus

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• High level of integrity and trustworthiness

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
