Job Details Responsibilities: Completes the patient registration process and assists outpatients with preparation for laboratory testing. Expedites the flow of specimens from receipt in laboratory to delivery to performing departments/laboratories. Performs specimen and report processing for test requests that are performed at reference laboratories. Responsible for answering telephones and processing requests for patient reports. Performs scanning and verification of laboratory reports into patient’s EMR. Performs additional duties as requested by immediate supervisors Requirements: High school diploma or GED equivalency required General computer skills required. Office/clerical skills desirable. Excellent verbal and listening skills required for communicating clearly and effectively with laboratory staff, patients, families, physicians, outside agencies and other hospital personnel. Minimum 2-3 years previous clerical experience in a health care setting preferred. Salary Range USD $20.98 - USD $26.78 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
