Program Summary

KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 14 countries.

Job Summary

The Equipment Operator (Heavy), reporting to and receiving assignments from the Foreman or General Foreman, is responsible for operating designated heavy machinery or equipment. This role involves observing and following safety rules, wearing required personal safety equipment, and performing duties as directed. The Heavy Equipment Operator is expected to have 2-5 years of related experience and relevant certification. Heavy equipment may include, but is not limited to, Grader, Roller, Dozer, Backhoe and 8k-30k Forklifts.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Receive assignments, instructions, and direction from the Foreman or General Foreman.

  • Operate designated heavy machinery or equipment efficiently and safely.

  • Follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.

  • Perform other duties and activities as directed.

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in operating heavy equipment.

  • Certification in heavy equipment operation.

  • Proficiency in operating specific heavy equipment, such as Grader, Roller, Dozer and 8k-30k Forklifts

  • Understanding and adherence to safety rules and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Additional certifications related to specific types of heavy equipment.

  • Familiarity with diverse heavy machinery and equipment.

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to perform routine maintenance checks on equipment.
