ManpowerGroup Quality Lab Tech in Plymouth, Michigan

Overview: Performance of final laboratory inspection of manufactured product and distribution of lab test data for process control and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather and test manufactured production parts per the specified work instructions/frequencies.

  • Maintain accuracy of data and timely reporting of data.

  • Properly distribute/dispose of sample parts after testing is complete.

  • Maintain test data files and assimilate/distribute information to the appropriate personnel.

  • Initiate Problem Notifications on all out-of-specification material tested and assist in problem solving efforts. Initiate hold material proceedings and testing for out-of-specification material.

  • Assist in equipment calibration and Gage R&R studies.

  • Test and report on special sample work orders as directed.

  • Maintain good communications between shifts using specified communication tools.

  • Suggest improvements for test data accuracy and improvements to reporting of results.

  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.

  • Assist in the training of new lab technicians.

  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Safety:

  • Must abide by all safety rules and policies and attend required safety training; as well as job rotations with or without reasonable accommodations.

  • Must be willing to report unsafe conditions or unsafe acts and assist plant in achieving safety goals as well as achieving and maintaining JCMS objectives.

  • Must be willing to participate and/or assist in safety/ergo activities and/or committees, safety Kazan events, safety audits, safety problem solving, and safety observation feedback events.

Requirements/Education:

  • Two year manufacturing or inspection using technical measuring equipment and computers.

  • High School diploma or equivalent with studies in math and science.
