Our greatest asset has been, and will continue to be, our people.  We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Construction Specialist in our U.S. Onshore Resources & Carbon Management, Rockies asset based in Platteville, Colorado.

 

This position is responsible for providing support to the Facilities & Construction departments related to location construction.  Duties include but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Manage key process metrics to promote maintenance construction efficiencies
  • Create cost projections for maintenance and facility-related projects.
  • Assist engineering in equipment lay out and piping design, coordinate work with operations team and other construction disciplines (Electrical, Automation)
  • Provide field oversite to ensure operational compliance with all safety related rules and regulations working hand and hand with our HSE team to promote safety culture in the field as well as State/Local rules, regulations, and laws,
  • Oversee construction crews in the field and provide project guidance from start to finish
  • Oversee key process metrics to enhance maintenance construction efficiency. Develop cost estimates for maintenance and facility projects.
  • Collaborate with engineering on equipment layout and piping design, and coordinate with operations and other construction teams (Electrical, Automation)
  • Ensure field compliance with safety rules and regulations alongside the HSE team, adhering to State/Local laws
  • Supervise construction crews and provide project guidance from beginning to end

 

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Experience, Skills and Competencies:

·          Understanding of process piping and production facility workflows

·          Knowledge of piping specifications and installation practices in production facilities

·          Familiarity with excavation safety and best practices

·          Oversight of field welding operations, as well as NDT and hydrotesting requirements

·          Ability to read and interpret piping and instrumentation drawings (P&IDs)

·          Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)

·          Strong verbal and written communication skills

·          Excellent time management skills

·          Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision

·          Candidate must be self-motivated, versatile and willing to learn

·          Candidate must be a team player and be able to work on multiple assignments concurrently

Education:

High School Diploma/GED

 

Relocation: This position is not eligible for relocation.

 

Travel Requirements:

The percentage of travel required for this position is 10-25%.

 

Work Schedule:

This position is eligible for the 9/80 work schedule.
