The Vice President of Design is responsible for managing the function specific team that provides restaurant design solutions that are operationally efficient, have an image that is representative of the Raising Cane’s brand and that are cost effective.

Your Impact and Responsibilities:

• Manages internal design team who supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of Raising Cane’s restaurant and restaurant support center design standards and drawings

• Develops and executes a strategic restaurant design roadmap in support of company priorities

• Manages workload capacity and prioritizes task assignments for both company and franchise design projects

• Manages external company and franchisee design resources to meet department objectives

• Performs periodic performance evaluations and facilitate development plans

• Develops and executes a departmental continuous education program to stay current on design trends, technology and restaurant design best practices

• Oversees all related laws, regulations and standards

• Communicates department updates to internal and external stakeholders

• Facilitates the development of new prototype design solutions

• Manages process to provide schematic site plans

• Works with the property development and construction teams to ensure standards are enforced including development and management of project plan approval process

• Reviews all construction documents for both company and franchise locations

• Audits all completed restaurants for design standards compliance and maintains a design component database

Requirements for Success:

• 10+ years restaurant design experience with direct supervision of internal employees and external consultants

• Knowledgable in AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office applications

• Prior management with change management systems and processes preferred

• Detail-oriented, organized and able to manage multiple priorities that may be constantly changing

• Self-driven, flexible, and highly energetic with strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills

• Able to work effectively and efficiently both independently and collaboratively

• Able to maintain confidentiality and operate with a high level of integrity and trustworthiness

• Able to work out of the Plano, TX office and travel as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in related field; Master’s degree preferred
