Description

We are in search of a Public Staff Tax Accountant to join our team in Plano, Texas. This role involves preparing various types of tax returns, assisting with financial statements, handling monthly bookkeeping and participating in assurance engagements. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of State and Federal tax returns including Corporate, Partnership, Trust, Individual, and Payroll.

• Handling various tax forms including Form 1120, E1040, and IRS Form 1065.

• Assisting in the compilation of financial statements, including balance sheets and Profit & Loss reports.

• Managing monthly bookkeeping tasks and reconciliations for businesses.

• Engaging in assurance tasks such as compilation, review, and audit procedures.

• Participating in litigation support through the preparation of damage reports and conducting research.

• Utilizing various accounting software systems such as Lacerte Tax Software.

• Performing various accounting functions including auditing, compliance, and entity formation.

Requirements

• Must possess strong knowledge of Accounting Software Systems

• Proficiency in using CaseWare is essential

• Must be capable of performing Accounting Functions effectively

• Auditing skills are necessary

• Should have experience in ensuring Compliance with relevant standards and regulations

• Must understand the process of Entity Formation

• Experience in preparing and analyzing Financial Statements is needed

• Proficiency in preparing Form 1120 and E1040 is essential

• Must have experience with IRS Form 1065

• Familiarity with Lacerte Tax Software is a plus.
