Job Description :

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Provides service support and preventive maintenance on high end equipment and systems (e.g., accelerators, MRI, CT, etc.) during normal working hours and on-call rotation as required.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responds to unscheduled service requests from users by performing initial problem verification, troubleshooting, and problem correction. (35%)

  • Completes scheduled maintenance in accordance with PM Inspection and Protocol management plan. Initiates and completes documentation after repair or PM is completed. (35%)

  • Assists other technical positions in Clinical Engineering and other departments in the organization as required. (5%)

  • Attends service schools, in house training and self-directed study as required on specialized modalities and systems. (5%)

  • Performs and/or assists in installation of specialized systems. (10%)

  • Interfaces with users, management, and administration as a subject matter expert in specialized modalities. (10%)

  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • Graduate from an electronic technical school.

  • 7-10 years’ experience supporting general diagnostic imaging systems.

  • 1-3 years OEM or hospital experience in higher end modalities.

Preferred

  • Associate's Degree in bio medical or electronic engineering.
