PNC Finance Expert- Loan Accounting in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

As a Finance Expert within PNC's Finance/Loan Accounting organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Birmingham, AL, Gaithersburg, MD or Atlanta, GA

This position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at manager’s discretion.

Role Description-

As a member of the Loan Accounting team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing, prioritizing and executing on Loan Accounting’s project listing

  • Providing various ad-hoc analysis to support management requests and decision project prioritization

  • Working directly with management and the Loan Accounting team to execute on various initiatives

  • Work directly with vendor, MIS and the Loan Accounting team to implement system updates

Software used: Excel, Teradata, Toad for Oracle, EVOLV, Hyperion, Loan Accounting Automation (LAA)

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficient in Excel, SQL a plus

  • Experience managing projects

  • Experience in a production environment a plus

  • Well organized

  • Team Player

Team Description:

As a member of the Loan Accounting Team, you will become a member of a successful, inclusive, team-oriented environment that strives for personal, as well as team growth. We work to deliver timely and accurate results to upper management and various stakeholders. As a vital team member, you will be expected to manage, lead and take direct ownership of various Loan Accounting projects and initiatives, as well as support the monthly production process. Our team works directly with LOB Finance, FGO, ETS, Internal Audit and PwC. This team provides exposure to several different areas of the bank as well as opportunities to manage relationships with LOB Finance, 2nd Line of Defense, PwC and our external vendor SS&C.

Job Description

  • Responsible for and leads a variety of financial management and accounting services. Serves as a senior expert for the team.

  • Prepares information to support quarterly, external, internal financial, and business metric reports. Reviews and interprets financial reports to inform business decisions.

  • Leads annual budget process and monthly forecast updates and leads or contributes to strategic plan. Identifies ways to outperform.

  • Leads/delivers performance monitoring and communications and ad hoc finance and accounting analysis, and may include including management accounting analysis. Works closely with Accounting Policy on new accounting standard adoptions affecting their business. Prepares/reviews data and associated documentation workpapers supporting external disclosures.

  • Structures preparation of reports and analysis in response to requests and requirements of auditors, regulators, and investors. May communicate directly with external constituents. May also contribute to risk review and challenge for assigned business. Promptly identifies and addresses control matters; maintains sound control processes. Prepares Stress Testing projections and associated documentation for their business.
