Overall Purpose: The Engineer IV - Asset Management will provide technical support and expertise for the lifecycle activities of Overhead and Underground, Transmission/Distribution Networks/Assets including but not limited to poles, transformers, conductors, intelligent pole top devices, manholes, network vaults, radial vaults, underground cable, aerial cable manholes, pad mount transformers, network vaults, radial vaults, underground cable, aerial cable, and other associated equipment.

Job Responsibilities: Maintenance Planning/Program Management: Identify and develop cost effective asset replacement projects and programs to address aging infrastructure and performance issues. Prioritizes programs and projects to align with company objectives and system needs. Technical Support: Provide subject matter expertise and technical support to engineering, shops, construction, and maintenance personnel. Address equipment maintenance, testing, repairs, replacements, operations, compliance and/or technical specification matters. Standards Compliance: Support compliance with all internal and external standards including PUC, NESC and NERC. Develop, monitor, and manage programs and maintain records and data in accordance with established requirements to meet all applicable standards. Preventive Maintenance Management: Establish, maintain, and execute tailored preventive maintenance programs for assets based on asset criticality and health to increase asset life. Provide technical support to field operations personnel to ensure effective application of sound maintenance practices and testing procedures are followed. Safety Consciousness: Evaluate current work methods to ensure that all applicable safety standards are being complied with. Make recommendations to improved company operating practices. Remain up to date and in line with industry standards so that recommendations are rooted in best practices

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution required. Five (5+) or more years of related experience required. Valid driver's license required. Professional Engineering License preferred. Experience utilizing Asset/work Tracking databases (such as Maximo) preferred. General knowledge of OSHA, NEC, NESC, NERC, FERC, and environmental regulations preferred.

Skills and Abilities Utilized in this Role Include: Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills. Strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to work well with others in a team atmosphere.

Physical Requirements: Work location is typical office environment - desk and computer work is required. Unscheduled evening and weekend work will be required on occasion. Limited travel to various company service locations as required. Participation in field visits to work sites where conditions may vary (walking on uneven ground, climbing ladders, walking in wooded areas, working safely near energized equipment, etc.) as required.

Hybrid Work Position follows our hybrid work model, w th a minimum of two days working in the office and the remaining days working remotely. Reporting location and frequency may be subject to change based on job role and department needs.

Storm Roles All Non-Union Employees will serve in storm roles as appropriate to their role and skillset. Utilize data to make business decisions as appropriate for the position, support data stewardship activities and partner with IT on underlying data needs.

Scope: Primary Focus is on daily deliverables, outputs and reporting. Accountable for managing one's own time and workflow but may be leading projects or project steps. Work is typically complex in nature, requiring the incumbent to draw on previous knowledge to perform role. Continues to build knowledge base but has a solid foundation to act independently the majority of the time. Still draws on experts and managers when needed but less frequently. Acts as a resource to less experienced staff on routine issues.

Decision Impact: Problems and issues faced are complex.Draws on past experience on a regular basis to solve problems and take new perspectives on existing solutions.
