Description

We are seeking an HR Director for a local manufacturing company in Baltimore. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs that align with our organizational objectives and promote a positive work culture. You will work alongside a team of HR professionals to support the company's needs and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations. Free parking on site! Requirements

  • Strategic HR Leadership:

  • Develop and execute HR strategies that support the company's overall mission, vision, and business goals.

  • Collaborate with senior management to identify HR priorities and initiatives that drive organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.

  • Lead the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs to attract, retain, and develop top talent.

  • Talent Acquisition and Management:

  • Oversee the recruitment and selection process, ensuring the company attracts and hires qualified candidates.

  • Develop and implement effective onboarding and orientation programs to integrate new employees into the organization.

  • Implement performance management systems to provide feedback, coaching, and development opportunities for employees.

  • Employee Relations and Engagement:

  • Serve as a resource for employees and managers on HR-related issues, providing guidance and support as needed.

  • Foster a positive work environment by promoting open communication, teamwork, and employee recognition programs.

  • Address employee concerns and grievances in a fair and timely manner, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Training and Development:

  • Identify training and development needs within the organization and design programs to address those needs.

  • Coordinate and facilitate training sessions on topics such as leadership development, diversity and inclusion, and compliance training.

  • Support career development initiatives to help employees reach their full potential and advance within the organization.

  • HR Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to mitigate risks and promote a safe and healthy work environment.

  • Oversee employee recordkeeping and documentation processes to ensure accuracy and confidentiality.

  • HR Administration and Budget Management:

  • Manage the HR department budget, including forecasting and allocation of resources.

  • Oversee HRIS implementation and maintenance to support HR administration and reporting needs.

  • Monitor HR metrics and analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is highly desirable.

  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role within a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships at all levels of the organization.

  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team of HR professionals and drive HR initiatives that support business objectives.

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven HR decisions.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
