Scheurer Health is seeking a temporary-part time Cardiac Rehabilitation Technician. This position will last approximately 12 weeks.
The Cardiac Rehab Tech will be responsible for direct and indirect patient care. Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Proficiency at interpreting cardiac telemetry
- Perform targeted assessments in the areas of cardiac signs and symptom, nutrition, and risk factor modification strategies
- Initiating, Implementing, and Supervising the exercise program
- Educating the patient and/or the caregivers
- Equipment set-up
- Taking vital signs
- Documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Communication with Physicians and other disciplines
The candidate will have at minimum a Bachelor of Science Degree in a related field. Current Basic Life Support (BLS)certification is required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required within one year of start date.
