We are looking for highly technical and motivated Staff Engineer to drive best in class digital web experiences which are crucial for our customers as we strive to be essential to their everyday lives. This role will also be critical to elevate the skills and effectiveness of our Mobile engineering teams, and drive innovation across the organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for web front-end and back-end architecture

  • Reviewing complex Frontend react modules

  • 60%-70% of your time spent on coding or hands on solution design and implementation

  • Ensure architecture is consistent across web features by performing detailed technical architecture & design reviews

  • Reviewing Web PRs, sharing next practices and mentoring engineers on PRs

  • Evaluating new tools, frameworks, SDKs for Web API platform

  • Responsible for the health and quality of code across the department, including leadership of testing automation and CI/CD tool integration

  • Help deliver high quality features that are highly performant and available

  • Mentor and support senior engineers to continue to raise the engineering bar across the organization

  • Perform rapid POCs as needed to experiment and set direction for the engineering teams

  • Communicate solutions, approaches and architectural decisions to senior leaders, gaining consensus and support from other teams

  • Extend business product innovation through the introduction, adoption and implementation of technology

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or related field required.

  • 8 years of active engineering and/or architecture experience in a complex environment

  • Advanced experience in React JS, JavaScript Frameworks, and good hands-on developing single-page applications

  • Advanced JavaScript coding skills and hands-on experience with React JS, Redux or Flux , HTML5, CSS3

  • Experience with browser debugging and profiling tools

  • Strong understanding of web application ecosystem and end-to-end architecture

  • Experience creating and applying strong API design principles

  • Exhibit skills to analyze, optimize, fine-tune and benchmark service performance

  • Experience in CI/CD tools like Github Actions, Jenkins

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to create and deliver architecture detail & vision across the organization

  • Experience with WAI-ARIA (Web Accessibility Initiative) and WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines)

  • Experience with reactive programming using frameworks like vert.x, spring reactive are a plus

Qualifications

Salary Range: $170,000.00 to $255,000.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
