Robert Half Project Accountant in Phoenix, Arizona

Description

Are you an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist looking for a new opportunity? Join our team and play a crucial role in handling non-routine and moderately complex accounts receivable functions. Your duties will include preparing, posting, and submitting project billings accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with contracts and terms. Additionally, you will monitor projects and phase codes, analyze transactions, and correct billing records. Your contributions will also extend to posting sales and revenue.

Job Cost Analysis:

  • Analyze detailed job cost transaction reports.

  • Maintain job costs and manage phase and cost codes.

  • Generate ad hoc reports and review them upon request.

Data Management:

  • Take charge of accurate and timely data entry, records management, and reporting for the project

  • Ensure data retention and information systems are updated and maintained within defined protocols and standards.

Other:

  • Communicate any observations of noncompliance with established standards, Guiding Principles, and Core Values or other policy violations.

  • Perform control-related activities required for the position with care.

  • Meet corporate standards for development activity.

  • Complete specific job responsibilities and projects assigned by leadership

    Requirements

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a similar accounting role.

  • Strong service orientation, problem-solving skills, flexibility, and professionalism.

  • Effective communication skills with all levels of employees and clients, including differing skill sets, education, and experience.

  • Excellent organization skills and time management.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a constantly changing environment.

  • Proficient in using a 10-key calculator by touch.

  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office products; technical aptitude to learn internal systems and required packages.

  • Must be able to obtain client badging.

  • Previous work experience in the construction industry preferred.
