Oracle Principal Database SRE in Phoenix, Arizona

Job Description

US citizenship on US soil required.

This position requires you to be eligible to receive a federal security clearance which requires you to be a US Citizen.

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the management of Oracle databases & Exadata Infrastructure (Prod & Non-Prod), performing complex issue investigation, capacity management, scripting, and seeking automation opportunities. You will triage database alerts and issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective solutions. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting Non-production, and Production Standby databases, Golden Gate, including mentoring of the team and facilitating communications with leadership, clients, and peers.

You will also develop standardization, policies, and best practices in-house in alignment with industry standards, cyber requirements, and MAA best practices. This will be accomplished through documentation, knowledge transfers, and automation. Willingness to work additional hours as needed and allowed by local regulations is essential. The primary focus develops, mature, and grow the technical aspect of the program, team, and ensure stability and scalability to the client.

Additionally, you will be part of the OHAI roadmap projects, such as migrating the Database to Oracle Cloud and Autonomous Databases

Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6-10 years of experience as Oracle DBA, Site Reliability Engineer, or Oracle Database Architect.

  • 6-10 years of experience managing scalable, on-prim and cloud native distributed systems.

  • Bachelor’s degree/master’s degree (Information Technology/Mathematics/Computer Science/Computer Software/Electronics/Operational Research/Computer System Engineering).

  • Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.

  • Strong grasp of Computer Science concepts

  • Knowledge in PL/SQL, Python, Perl and/or Shell Scripting

  • Managing production databases running on Exadata.

Skills :

  • Oracle Database

  • Oracle Grid Infrastructure, ASM & RAC

  • Oracle Cloud

  • Pl/SQL and/or shell scripting

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Oracle Maximum Availability Architecture & Exadata.

  • High availability & replication technologies (Data guard, Goldengate)

  • Advanced scripting/coding skills (Shell, Perl, and Python)

  • Advanced compression

  • Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG)s

  • Oracle Autonomous Database

  • Exadata knowledge

US: Hiring Range: from $97,400 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
