Robert Half is representing a client who is seeking a permanent Accounts Payable (A/P) Specialist to become an essential part of a company's rapidly growing team. As the Accounts Payable Specialist, you will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. Within this dynamic department, you will have an opportunity for career growth and advancement. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be situated in the Phoenix, Arizona area and is a permanent employment. GREAT opportunity for GROWTH!

Duties include:

• Full cycle accounts payable

• Work with internal partners and external vendors to ensure accuracy and prompt payments.

• PO matching, verify accuracy of invoices - research and resolution of discrepancies, verify W9s.

• Receives and verifies expense reports; reconciles expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records.

• Process payment of vendors.

• Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.

• Calculates and reports sales tax based on paid invoices.

• Other related duties as assigned.

  Requirements

MUST HAVE:

• AA or BS/BA degree in accounting or pursuit of BA in accounting

• Solid understanding of GAAP Accounting

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

• Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

• Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired

• Account reconciliation experience

• Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

• Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
