Summary

Assists with production, machine operation and general Plant clean-up

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • conveys cutting dies, ink, print plates, load tags and dunnage to and from machine centers
  • mounts cutting dies and print plates on presses and cutters
  • feeds baler
  • Performs rework
  • runs load formers to build units in bundles for shipment
  • separates, collates and counts bundles of corrugated boxes and die cuts
  • Assists in machine operationTrains to operate various plant equipment including set-up, running and clean up to set standards
  • persorms quality checks on product at various production stages
  • Inputs diary in HRMS
  • Inputs production information into Kiwi
  • Uses and understands hard card for job production
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area
  • Follows Plant safety rules
  • Other duties may be assigned

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma o0r equivalent preferred and one year related manufacturing or warehouse experience

Language skills:  Must be able to read, understand, and communicated detailed and/or important instructions include safety instructions, in English accurately, loudly and/or quickly

Mathematical skills:  Basic math skills required.  Must be able to perform basic math including adding, subtracting, multiplying dividing, fractions and percentages.  Must be able to measure and record the results accurately

Reasoning Ability:  Good problem solving skills and common sense

Heavy Work:  Exerting up to 100 pounds or more of force occasioally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects

Visual Acuity: Preparing and analyzing data and figures, reading, skills in math, computer readouts, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, operation of machings, using measurement devices, assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes where seeing job is at or within arm's reach

Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs scaffolding, ramps, climbing onto trucks, etc. using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.  Bofy agility is emphasized.  The amount and kind of climbing excees that for ordinary locomotion

Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces

Stopping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spinte and waist

Lifting: Raising objects from lower to high position or moving horizontally

Hearing: Perceiving the nature of soundswith no less than a 40deb loss @500 Hz, 1000Hz and 2000 Hz without corrections

Standing: Particularly for sustained periods of time
