Role Purpose

Reporting to the Head of Supply, the BDM Key Accounts – Supply will be responsible for the development of new markets and implementation of sales and service delivery strategies to meet the needs of nominated key suppliers.

Key Accountabilities

This role will work closely with the Head of Supply to conduct analysis to identify and develop new business opportunities whilst also increasing existing business patronage throughout the overall membership. The BDM Key Accounts – Supply will focus on diversifying into new markets and non-traditional supply needs (i.e. not parts) for Capricorn's Members. The development of strong relationships across the supply chain, industry associations and internal business units is paramount to both the success of this role and driving increased market share, supplier support and increased patronage.

Skills, Knowledge, and Attributes

• Proven sales and relationship development and management background is essential;

• Industrial setting experience with understanding of the automotive and commercial parts and service industry ideal ;

• Technical sales experience advantageous;

• Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite of products including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint will be required; • Sound understanding of business and corporate legislation particularly as it relates to cooperatives and Trade Practices Act ;

• Previous team leading and mentoring experience; • Self driven, capable of meeting deadlines and working well under pressure;

• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with strong influencing and negotiation skills

Experience

• More than ten years experience working in a similar role developing new markets and delivering sustainable profitable growth in product and/or service markets.

Qualifications

• Current valid driver's license issued by the relevant State regulatory authority (essential);

• Secondary education;
