Position Description

The HVAC Controls Electronic Installer performs installation and checkout of electric and electronic components for solutions and service installed jobs and service agreements associated with building control systems and energy management systems. Installs and mounts conduit and wiring, cable, electric/electronic controls, devices, panels, sensors and components.

Installers perform interlock wiring, wiring check out and assist with systems start up, tasks associated with panel fabrication, provides input and assists with preparation of as built drawings, trains and assigns work to other electronic Installers, including subcontracted installers and responds to emergency service requests as a participant in division’s on-call program.

    Qualifications

The following qualifications along with individuals’ previous work experience will be considered by the company when evaluating applicants:

  • 18 years of age or older

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 2 years of electrical and electronic experience, or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job

  • Knowledge of blueprints, electrical codes, mechanical designs, and wiring diagrams

  • Technical and mechanical aptitude

  • Basic computer skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Flexibility to work overtime/weekends as required

  • May be required to work on religious holidays

  • Regular and predictable attendance is required

  • Work cooperatively with others

  • When requirements include vehicle operation, responsible for the safety, readiness and operation of the vehicle and must abide by ECS’s safe driving policy
