This is an exciting opportunity to perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled duties, involving numerous trades in the installation, repair, and maintenance of various machinery, equipment, structures, and environs for Commonwealth buildings and equipment. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Maintenance Repairman 1, you will be performing basic carpentry work, completing minor repairs and adjustments to small-motorized equipment, and assisting electricians in major electrical projects. You will be responsible for plumbing duties, preparing surfaces for painting, and performing general maintenance and cleaning duties associated with the general upkeep and preservation in and around Commonwealth buildings. Within this role, you will also be responsible for shoveling and snow/ice removal from building entrances, walkways, and steps.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
This position is considered an essential employee, meaning you may need to report to work for emergencies and office closings.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Two years of experience in general maintenance work which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
Necessary Special Requirement:
You must possess a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
Additional Requirements:
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
