Job Title: Retail Ambassador

Location: Planet Playskool & NERF Action Xperience, Paramus, New Jersey

Reports To: Retail Lead/Retail Manager

Overview:

Join our dynamic team at Planet Playskool & NERF Action Xperience as Retail Ambassador! As a key member of our customer service-oriented team, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and memorable experience for our visitors. You will also play a key role in ensuring that we provide a seamless shopping experience for all our guests. Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Service:

• Greet visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor.

• Provide information about the attractions, exhibits, and facilities.

• Assist visitors with ticket purchases and provide guidance on admission procedures.

• Resolve customer inquiries, concerns, or issues in a professional manner.

  1. Sales:

• Effectively operate the system to provide merchandise sales and upsells.

• Ensure the retail store is always presenting as premium and is fully stocked per the plan-o-grams.

• Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain a balanced cash drawer.

• Maintain a highly shoppable retail environment and support with delivering core KPI’S.

  1. Attraction Knowledge:

• Stay informed about the attraction's history, exhibits, and upcoming events.

• Continuously update knowledge on any changes or additions to the attraction.

• Share information with visitors to enhance their understanding and enjoyment.

  1. Crowd Management:

• Monitor and manage visitor flow to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests.

• Assist in crowd control during peak times or special events.

• Collaborate with other team members to optimize visitor traffic.

  1. Cleanliness and Maintenance:

• Keep work areas, including POS and entrance areas, clean and organized.

• Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly.

• Collaborate with the maintenance team to address cleanliness and appearance standards.

  1. Team Collaboration:

• Work collaboratively with other frontline team members and departments.

• Communicate effectively with supervisors and managers regarding visitor feedback and operational issues.

• Attend team meetings and training sessions as required.

Qualifications:

• 18 years of age or older.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous customer service experience is preferred.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.

• Enthusiastic, approachable, and positive attitude.

• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings.
