New vacancy: Junior Project Manager

As a Junior Project Manager you are a member of the Program Management team based in Papendrecht. You focus on the day2day MRO operations (maintenance, repair, overhaul) of the wheels & breaks of the Landing Gear of one of the Defense programs. You are responsible for the administration and the activities associated with the control and monitoring of the progress, scope, cost and resource management within the program. With a strong focus on maintaining the relationship with the customer, you will report, find solutions to hick ups and ensure that our protocols are being followed. Still interested? Note: the role’s internal title is Program Support Officer (IPT).

What you'll do

  • Compile and follow up work breakdown structure (WBS), organization breakdown structure (OBS), and cost breakdown structure (CBS) schedules / plans of the program.

  • Report and keep overview of financial and operational performance of assigned agreement to management.

  • Manage customer relationship, address concerns to stakeholders that impact operational / contractual performance and follow up on the implementation of solutions.

  • Control and monitor progress, scope, costs and resource management and allocation of the program.

  • By gathering and analyzing measurable data & KPIs, create reports and identify/initiate improvements on on-time delivery and quality based on Customer Scorecards / delivery schedule adherence in close collaboration with the responsible disciplines.

  • Keep an overview of non-conformities progress, follow MRO KPI’s, identify priorities, assist in escalating open queries to customer.

  • Track progress on ensuring that customer’s requirements are met, prepare and maintain the customer outlook for budgeting purposes.

  • Prepare the demand for operations, including required performance measures and preparing the handshake agreements with the performance site.

  • Support Risk and Opportunity Management activities with stakeholders, manage the risk register to control and mitigate the risk exposure.

  • Establish and control robust document management in the IPT and towards/ from the customer.

  • Support creation, coordination and delivery of (change) proposals to customer requests.

  • Preparing and analyzing the Program Performance Summary (PPS), and initiating actions in case of deviations.

What you'll bring

  • A HBO (university of applied sciences) degree or equivalent thinking level,

  • Technical understanding or experience at a complex manufacturing company.

  • Proven experience in project coordination & monitoring, ability to create and deliver comprehensive program reports (e.g. financial, logistics, quality data).

  • Knowledge and good user of ERP systems (e.g. BAAN or similar).

  • Ability to create structure in own work, accurate and enjoying administrative support.

  • Strong user of Microsoft Office package (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Customer focused, proactive, strong communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team.

  • Can hold a debate, challenge decisions and identify / suggestion solutions.

  • Fluent in English and (preferably) in Dutch.

  • Strong in stakeholder management.
