This is one of three positions supporting the activation and waiver activities for our patient care and operations areas.

This is an onsite role.

A Brief Overview

The Manager, Operations and Activation collaborates across Stanford Health Care to ensure high quality, safe activations and is directly responsible for any that include Patient Care Services. The manager partners with all support departments, IT, HR, Design and Construction, to be the liaison for activation activities for Patient Care Services. This role is instrumental to ensure consistency, accountability, and thorough planning while serving in a resource role for staff, managers, directors, ACNOs broadly across the division.

What you will do

  • Facilitates feedback and input sessions with clinicians, providers, and patient representatives.

  • Meets regularly with their TDS partner of the assigned platform/platforms.

  • Connects with Vendors, Corporate Partners, TDS to facilitate implementation of new hardware, software into the clinical environments.

  • Manages teams to coordinate initiatives and improvement efforts identified.

  • Manages teams that are participating in new innovation from vendors to facilitate rapid cycle improvements.

  • Continually analyze future trends in healthcare, healthcare information technologies and other pertinent industries that will impact the priorities of the Nursing and SHC Strategic plan.

  • Manages contracted individuals and/or direct reports where appropriate.

  • Manages the budget for assigned contracted individuals/direct reports and projects.

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelors required.

  • Master's degree in a work-related discipline/field from an accredited college or university preferred.

Experience Qualifications

  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience, including one (1) year of supervisory experience required

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to conceptualize, plan, organize, coordinate, and manage the work of a major program or function within a department

  • Ability to develop and smoothly lead process improvement

  • Ability to facilitate large groups

  • Ability to establish the strategic direction and business plans for a functional group

  • Ability to supervise, coach, mentor, train and evaluate work results

  • Ability to use information and keep abreast of developments in technology to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate error and support decision-making

  • Ability to communicate effectively to maintain positive working relationships

  • Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area

  • Knowledge of current theories, principles, practices, standards, merging technologies, techniques and approaches in digital health

  • Knowledge of principles and practices of modern business and hospital administration, with special reference to organization and personnel management

  • Knowledge of principles and practices of organization, administration, fiscal and personnel management

Licenses and Certifications

  • Nursing\RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure

  • Evidence-Based Design Accreditation and Certification (EDAC) . or

  • ASHE Certifications for Health Care Facility, Construction, and Design Professionals or similar certification preferred

  • Project Management Certification preferred

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $79.15 - $104.87 per hour

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
