Rubrik Lead Release Engineer - SaaS Product Delivery in Palo Alto, California

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Saas Release Manager to join our dynamic team with the Engineering Program Management organization. Your primary goal will be to lead our release process and our SaaS product delivery by driving coordination among engineering teams, stakeholders, and to align all groups toward speedy, high quality releases. As the Release Manager you will drive the improvement of our releases management processes through the lifecycle of validation and deployment. You will do this by collaborating with all stakeholders in the software development process. Additionally, you will have strong input into improving the tooling and processes for building and deploying software at high velocity. At the core you are a program manager with sufficient functional experience to understand the components of the release and how their technical complexity affects the release schedule and risks. You will be required to manage complex situations while evaluating risks and balancing them against business goals and priorities.

You will be expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy while managing multiple tasks and priorities in the course of a normal day. You will need exceptional management skills and technical expertise while you collaborate with engineering managers to deliver releases on a recurring basis. You will drive release metrics improvements and you will communicate the current release status and deliver process improvements in a timely manner.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordination and Communication:

  • Act as the central point of contact for all SaaS release-related activities.

  • Coordinate with all engineering teams to ensure timely and successful releases.

  • Communicate release schedules, status, and issues to relevant stakeholders, both internally and externally.

  • Quality:

  • Implement and maintain robust qualification processes to ensure the reliability and stability of releases.

  • Collaborate with teams to develop and execute testing strategies for each release.

  • Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and proactively develop mitigation plans.

  • Work closely with development teams to address and resolve issues that may impact release timelines.

  • Continuous Improvement:

  • Evaluate and improve release processes continually.

  • Recommend tools and and collaborate on methodologies to enhance efficiency and automation in the release pipeline.

Qualifications:

  • Must be US Citizen

  • Preferred experience in Engineering/Technical Program Management, Quality Engineering or Software development.

  • Required: 5+ years experience as a Release Manager or in a similar role within the SaaS industry.

  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of SaaS architecture, cloud services, and release management tools.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to address issues during the release process.

  • Organization: Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Preferred: Experience in an on-demand environment, with Agile development and 24x7 operations

  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline

The minimum and maximum base salaries for this role are posted below; additionally, the role is eligible for bonus potential, equity and benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the role based on U.S. location. Within the range, the salary offered will be determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US Pay Range

$134,600—$201,800 USD
