Hyatt Assistant Front Office Manager in PALM SPRINGS, California

Description:

Thompson Palm Springs is now recruiting for an energetic Assistant Front Office Manager to join the hotel’s pre-opening team. Thompson Palm Springs is poised to become the desert’s most exciting destination tailored for influential locals and sophisticated globetrotters alike. Situated at the heart of the city’s iconic Palm Canyon Drive, the hotel will offer a collection of 168 bungalow-inspired guest rooms and suites coupled with our total event space of 8,000 square feet plus additional outdoor and unique spaces. Thompson Palm Springs will also house its own mainstay dining concept that will feed into the menus at two bespoke pools and accompanying lounges. An impressive array of ground-level retail space spanning over 30,000-square-feet, guests will also have access to a state-of-the-art fitness center and a first-of-its-kind tasting room from HALL Napa Valley, with additional tenants to follow.

The Assistant Front Office Manager will have oversight of the daily operations of the Front Office, Concierge and Guest Services team. This leader is passionate about guest service, colleague engagement, and creating a welcoming environment to those who enter our hotel. Additional responsibilities will include training, staff development and scheduling.

Responsibilities include:

  • Refined verbal and written communication skills.

  • Greets and completes established check-in procedures for arriving guests on a daily basis, using both manual and computerized methods, in order to ensure guests are satisfied and in rooms as requested.

  • Facilitates guest departure (check-out) on a daily basis by following established manual and computer procedures in order to close guest accounts ensuring the guests are satisfied.

  • Maintain good guest relations by keeping abreast of all in-house and area functions in order to answer questions and concerns with timely and knowledgeable responses, in person and on telephone.

  • Control cash transactions at the front desk and maintain complete responsibility for personal bank as specified by hotel bank agreement policy.

  • Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.

  • Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

  • Follow-up on any complaints or problems a guest may experience in a timely and professional fashion to ensure a quality guest experience.

The pay range for this position is $66,560 to $72,200. This is the pay range for this position that Thompson Palm Springs reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors including experience, and education

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of one-year previous front office supervisory experience preferred

  • Professional communication skills
