What you’ll do as a Data Engineer

  • Design, develop, and maintain packages to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into data warehouses or data marts

  • Integrate data from multiple sources, including relational databases, flat files, APIs, and other data repositories

  • Optimize package performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high data processing efficiency

  • Implement data validation and quality checks to ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout the ETL process

  • Work closely with data architects, database administrators, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and develop data integration solutions that meet business needs

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for ETL packages, data workflows, and integration processes

  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of ETL packages to identify and resolve any issues or errors

  • Provide support and troubleshooting for production ETL processes and resolve data-related issues as they arise

What you’ll need

  • To be 18 years of age or older

  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role with a strong focus on ETL

  • Expertise in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

  • Proficiency in developing SQL and T-SQL

  • Experience with data warehousing concepts and scheduled ETL processes

  • Familiarity with other data integration tools and technologies is a plus

  • Experience with ERP data integration concepts is a plus

  • AWS Glue, Athena is considered a plus but not required

Additional qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in handling data and documentation

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
