Summary

We are hiring for our Commodity Distribution business located in Padova, Italy a Senior Logistic Specialist to help the group grow and improve our local Grain Distribution business development.

Responsibilities

  • Perform commercial and service contracts execution within the contractual terms and budgets, including but not limited to:

  • Check, understand, discuss the contractual terms.

  • Plan (with internal or external partners), execute commercial contracts and review. Ensure accurate contracts execution for domestic goods and imports by Vessel, Train, Trucks

  • Plan arrivals of trains to meet sales book and commercial team needs. Keep close contact with all parties involved in train flows to optimize and improve efficiency.

  • Forecast logistic trends to anticipate and take benefit from situations.

  • Timely and proper notifications, delivery instructions, calculation of logistic costs and payments.

  • Proper documentation of contractual execution (document issue or receiving, checking, distribution and archiving during and after contract execution).

  • Risk transfer.

  • Accurate and timely flags/accruals raised to relevant internal or external partners

  • Stock checking, quantity and quality checking and preserving.

  • Losses control and monitoring.

Summary

  • Pro-actively communicate within execution, origination, logistic and financial team, service providers (logistics, storage, inspection, transport, etc), customers, authorities, others and properly document it.

  • Efficient control, limit and report costs, expenses, losses, depreciation related to contract execution.

  • Comply with exposure and credit limit of the partners, raise flags and find solution to comply if needed.

  • Accurate settlements with internal and 3rd party silo.

  • Timely and accurate reporting of the contract’s execution and cost status, up to monthly contractual PnL reconciliation.

  • Coordinate with trade execution vessel arrivals planning and executions.

  • Ensure deliveries are applied and invoiced to customers as per contract conditions.

  • Enter necessary information and data in the different systems used (JDE, BSM, Intelex, Hiperos etc.)

  • Assist co-workers within the department with administrative tasks, coordinate and seek for improvement and better efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • 2 to 4 years of work experience in related industry

  • Good knowledge of Italy mkt, practices and customs.

  • Working experience with ports/silos, agents.

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Fluent in English/Italian

Additional Qualifications

  • Business diploma or relevant degree

  • JDE experience is a + Strong Excel skills, medium to high general Office tools knowledge.
