Splunk is looking for an experienced vendor manager to help lead our efforts to provide a world-class customer experience for Splunk Cloud. In this role, you will act as lead for our contractor teams within TechOps. You will be responsible for ensuring team excellence through process improvements, ensuring proper staffing, and handling projects and escalations, all with a data-driven mindset.
Responsibilities
Manage on-boarding/off-boarding for contractors
Work with teams to resource and optimize the process
Help drive process improvements for the contractor team, improving processes, methodologies, and tools. Improvements should benefit the whole organization.
Review runbooks
Drive down mean-time-to-resolve and drive up success rates
Handle escalations involving TechOps for process- and customer-related issues
Develop staffing forecasts and models to ensure the team is properly sized
Collaborate with engineering and business teams to ensure needs are met
Manage vendor relationships including monitoring vendor performance against service level agreements (SLAs) and issue resolution and progressive service enhancements.
About You
You enjoy taking on complex initiatives and have experience taking projects from conception to launch
You are low ego and have experience working across both internal teams and external vendors
You are biased for action, with strong organization skills and attention to detail
You are process-oriented and can lead people to get things done
You have experience working with ambiguity and not being satisfied with the status quo
You make decisions based on data
You have experience working with technical and/or operational teams and can participate or lead technical discussions
You may have experience as a technical program or project manager and may be a certified Project Management Professional
Education and Experience
Computer Science/IT degree and demonstrated ability

Note:
Base Pay Range
SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area
Base Pay Range: $132,000.00 - 181,500.00 per year
California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts
Base Pay Range: $118,800.00 - 163,350.00 per year
All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.
Base Pay Range: $105,600.00 - 145,200.00 per year
Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
