Radiology Tech II - Magnetic Resonance Imaging

St. John's Regional Medical Center

We are seeking Radiology Tech II in our Magnetic Resonance Imaging Department. The Radiology Tech II - Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is responsible for performing a variety of MRI procedures, including brain, spine, and abdominal scans. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of MRI technology and be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of MRI procedures, including brain, spine, and abdominal scans

  • Ensure that all MRI equipment is properly calibrated and maintained

  • Prepare patients for MRI procedures

  • Explain MRI procedures to patients and answer their questions

  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families

  • Work independently and as part of a team

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest MRI technology

Qualifications

  • More than six (6) months of experience as a Radiologic Technologist

  • Current certification of The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CT ARRT)

  • Current Certified Radiology Technologist certification (CT CRT)

  • Current Fluoroscopy permit (CT RTTF)

  • Current AHA CPR certification (CT CPRBLS)

  • Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.

Special Skills:

  • Must meet Tech II minimum expectations on performance evaluation.

  • Must have working knowledge of all diagnostic imaging equipment.

  • Must also know all departmental protocols and procedures.

  • Ability to work tactfully and effectively with fellow staff members physicians and the patient population.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

  • Self-motivated and able to achieve results through good organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and be a functional team member in a team oriented environment.

This position is represented by SEIU UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Pay Range

$45.23 - $53.37 /hour
