Job Description
Job Title: Hybrid Remote Bariatric Dietitian
Company: Oswego Hospital
Aramark Healthcare+ is seeking a Clinical Dietitian to work hybrid remote providing clinical care for patients at Oswego Hospital. The role will work primarily with an outpatient bariatric client population and will need to be able to work on site 2 days per week.
COMPENSATION: The salary for this position ranges from $60,000 to $78,000, depending on circumstances including an applicant?s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). This is Aramark?s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this position as of the time of posting.
If hired, employee will be in an ?at-will position? and Aramark reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time AND FOR ANY REASON, including, BUT NOT LIMITED TO for reasons related to individual performance, Aramark or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Job Responsibilities
Assess patient's nutritional status and develop individualized nutrition plans based on their medical history, current health status, and specific needs
Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on proper nutrition, healthy eating habits, and lifestyle changes
Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting diet plans as needed.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement clinical protocols and best practices for nutrition care
Monitor patients' progress and make modifications to their nutrition plans as needed
Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the field of clinical nutrition with focus on bariatric nutrition
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or a related field
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) certification
Licensed Dietitian status in New York
Minimum 2 years of experience working with bariatric patients.
Strong knowledge of bariatric surgery procedures and postoperative care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and in a virtual team environment.
Proficient in using virtual communication tools for remote consultations.
