We are looking for an experienced financial leader to strengthen our project team with job location in Oslo. You will be an important contributor in our ERTMS project where Siemens Mobility shall renew the railroad signaling system throughout Norway. ERTMS is a new digital signaling system which will offer improved reliability and punctuality.

What do you contribute?

As the Deputy Commercial Project Director , you work in close relations with the Commercial Project Director & Project Director (PM) with the objective of executing the project within defined targets (e.g. costs, time, quality). In this role, you support as entrepreneur, bridging the gap between business, technical and commercial sphere.

You will have an important role within all commercial related matters of the project both internally and externally. (e.g. Managing and optimizing targeted financial results, forecasting, budgeting and controlling.)

You will help drive the contract and claim management, including active interaction with project team members as well as consultation, preparation and negotiations of claims towards the customer and towards suppliers.

You shall ensure transparency and financial correctness in various tools on a world level. (e.g. ensure full compliance of revenue and cost recognition within accounting policies).

You will actively collaborate with our technical team as well as procurement to raise awareness for commercial necessities and to align sourcing strategies.

You will collaborate with Commercial Project Managers (onshore and offshore) regarding accounting, controlling, Month/Quarter/Year end closing and implementation of changes in the project to ensure timely reporting with transparency.

You shall enforce compliance to standards, rules and regulations – interacting with experts from Accounting, Tax and Transfer price officer whenever required.

You will, together with the team, prepare (monthly and ad hoc) reports for the customer and Siemens internally to the management.

What do you bring along?

  • To succeed in the role, you have master’s degree within business, economics, accounting, or equivalent. You have 5+ years of professional experience in commercial project controlling of complex projects, or other similar positions.

  • Having successfully performed the PM@Siemens CPM/SCPM-certification is an advantage.

  • Experience from Contract management and negotiations is an advantage.

  • You have excellent language skills in English (written and spoken). Norwegian and/or German language skills will be an advantage.

  • You are analytical, proactive, positive and outgoing. You have the mindset to get tasks completed and willingness to dig deep and communicate openly. You enjoy sharing knowledge with team members and you have a strong ownership to your own and your team’s result.

  • You have strong intercultural sensitivity and are able to work with teams and stakeholders from different countries and cultures, both internal and external.

  • You have an inherent interest to learn and develop, with a goal to take on larger responsibilities.
