Overview

AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a team-oriented fellowship trained, board certified/eligible surgical oncologist to lead out as the Director of Melanoma, Sarcoma surgery in the beautiful Orlando, Florida.

  • Experience in programmatic building within the sub-specialty space would be required

  • Development and deployment of tumor specific pathways and standards of care as well as the clinical/translational research agenda

  • Dedicated administrative time

  • Access to world renown research team, clinical trials, tumor boards

  • Rotation of call would be shared with the other oncology physicians in the practice, including weekends.

  • Orlando is the referral center and quaternary hub for our system across the state of Florida and the US.

  • In Orlando we have the growing support and presence of multiple surgical oncologists, experienced medical oncologists, APPs, nurse navigators, social workers, chaplain support, pharmacy, nutrition etc..

  • Extended network of 6 other medical oncology sites surrounding Orlando

  • AdventHealth was ranked by US News & World among the top 50 in the nation for six medical specialties: CANCER ; diabetes and endocrinology; gastroenterology and GI surgery; neurology and neurosurgery; obstetrics and gynecology; and orthopedics

  • Candidate can expect the ability to participate in research studies and work with our general surgery residents.

The AdventHealth Cancer Institute is a comprehensive program offering medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, pediatric oncology, neuro-oncology, Gyn oncology, bone marrow transplant as well as research. It is considered the largest program in the state of Florida with seven dedicated locations. It is also one of the nation’s top-ranked cancer hospitals — a team of more than 200 world-class oncology specialists who collectively care for approximately 8,000 to 10,000 patients annually.

Practice Description

This is an employment opportunity that includes the benefits of call coverage and competitive compensation.
