Lockheed Martin Manufacturing Engineer Sr. in Orlando, Florida

Description: This requisition is for a Manufacturing Engineer Sr. position supporting the Production Operations organization in our Rotary & Mission Systems (RMS) division.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Analyzing and interpreting electrical, electromechanical, and cable schematics during development and production stages.

• This role will play a critical part in enhancing our manufacturing processes, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring the successful production of electrical and electromechanical components.

• Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes

• Drives the implementation of lean manufacturing techniques to improve efficiency and reduce waste in the manufacturing process

• Serve as a technical resource and reference for electrical and electromechanical assembly-related matters, providing guidance to early career team members and production teams.

• Work closely with the engineering and production teams from the quoting phase to the final shipment.

• Allocates tasking to MEs and ME Aides according to function and program priorities as required

• Reviews and develops functional process and procedures

• Ensures team follows consistent functional practices and templates as established by Subject Matter Experts (SME), trains team in their use, and ensures consistent and efficient production of team work products

• Updating, creating and publishing assembly work instructions for efficient assembly based on the drawings and/or models

• Identifies and maintains tool lists required for the efficient assembly of the given products.

• Investigates technical problems and provides guidance in support of manufacturing operators to facilitate assembly performance

• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to manufacturing failures and helps implement corrective action

• Providing input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.

Basic Qualifications:

• Ability to analyze and interpret electrical, electromechanical, and cable schematics

• Demonstrated experience implementing lean manufacturing concepts

• Demonstrated experience in Manufacturing Engineering

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Electrical Engineering designs and manufacturing

• Experience with cable and/or sub-assembly production

• Familiarity with Zuken

• Familiarity with SAP (Qnotes, Routings, Bills of material) or a related manufacturing system

• Demonstrated knowledge with design for manufacturing concepts and application

• Demonstrated Knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts, techniques and experience generating/implementing process improvements

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
