Lockheed Martin HPC DevSecOps Engineer/ Level 4/ Onsite, Orlando, FL/ Secret Clearance in Orlando, Florida

Description: This role is a DevSecOps Engineer position focused on High Performance Computing (HPC) and building the next generation of infrastructure. The position has a focus on Linux and Kubernetes working in classified areas supporting thousands of servers (compute nodes) across dozens of computing clusters. This position has high customer engagement and will work with engineers, developers, and scientists across multiple departments to deliver new capabilities. The candidate will be collaboratively building and supporting multiple HPC and Kubernetes environments utilizing DevSecOps-focused architecture. Infrastructure as Code (Iac) is a large component of this position, and candidates will be given the opportunity to grow their scripting/programming skills. This will include working with multiple container run-times and Kubernetes distributions to deploy applications across the environment. The candidate will partner with multiple development teams to help ensure their CI/CD Pipelines can fully leverage the infrastructure.

Basic Qualifications:

• Active Secret Clearance is required for this role and you will need the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance, and customers' acceptance

• Experience with Linux operating systems

• Scripting and/or Programming (Python, Shell, Powershell, C++, etc.)

• Must possess or be able to obtain within 6 months of start date a valid IAT Level II or III DoD Approved 8140 (DoD 8570) certification such as Security+, in good standing

• Knowledge and experience with system administration of Linux distributions

• Demonstrated experience effectively performing in a fast paced, dynamic environment

• Experience developing effective stakeholder and partner relationships

• Ability to work through technical, project, operational, and resource challenges.

• Proven business acumen to manage multiple assignments and projects with the ability to balance technical requirements with business needs and affordability

• Demonstrated collaboration, including interpersonal and teaming skills

Desired Skills:

• Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance with background investigation within 6 years

• At least one or two years experience working in environments with diverse Linux based distributions and tools such as Red Hat, Rocky, CentOS, Ubuntu, SuSE, etc.

• Security+, CISSP, or other IAT Level II/III security certification

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

• Linux or Red Hat Certifications

• Experience with containers and orchestration (e.g. Docker, Podman, LXC, Singularity/Apptainer, Kubernetes, Helm Charts, Terraform, Ansible)

• Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines and version control such as Git

• C++/Java/Golang/C# Build System Knowledge

• Kubernetes Orchestration Experience

• Experience operating and maintaining secure operating system configurations on secure networks

• Experience in High Performance Computing (HPC) and associated tools such as SLURM, Warewulf, Lustre, and more

• Experience working in and maintaining Active Directory domains to include SSSD integration

• Experience building and/or working with hypervisors and in virtual environments, such as VMWare, KVM, Hyper-V, etc.

• Scripting ability to support system administration activities and automation (i.e. Ansible, Python, BASH, Perl, Batch, VBScript, PowerShell, etc.)

• Experience with DevSecOps, containers, and orchestration, especially in HPC applications using Singularity, Docker, Shifter, Kubernetes etc.

• Technical documentation creation and management; including documenting existing environments

• Experience developing and maintaining Linux baselines, including security settings and hardening

• Knowledge and experience implementing technical requirements on multiple operating systems for NISPOM Chapter-8, JAFAN, JSIG, DoD RMF, and other protection level caveats

• Understanding of routing/switching networking concepts

• Familiarity with engineering software and license mechanisms, particularly FlexLM

• Experience with Static Code Analysis Tools

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Top Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
