Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking for a Data Engineer to join their team. This team is responsible for creating the data engineering standards for the organization. The Data Engineer will be a part of a project around pricing and yield management. Responsibilities include participation in data requirements gathering, source to target mapping, developing and maintaining ELT data pipelines, data quality monitoring, producing input datasets for science models and visualizations and Batch/Orchestration job scheduling. In addition to technical abilities, the role is responsible for developing an understanding the business domain and processes, then applying that knowledge to the assigned deliverables. This role communicates data engineering progress to the project leadership team, and actively participates in meetings and discussions.

Skills and Requirements

4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer

Extensive experience developing with Python, writing new code

Experience with SQL Snowflake

Ability to build and optimize data sets, 'big data' data pipelines and architectures.

Experience with Airflow

Experience with developing in a multi environment (Dev, QA, Prod, etc.) and DevOps procedures for code deployment/promotion. null
