Mille Lacs Health System Licensed Nursing Home and Assisted Living Administrator Combination - FT Position in Onamia, Minnesota

Summary This administrator is the person in immediate charge of the operation and administration of the nursing home and assisted living center. The incumbent would cooperate and maintain all requirements set forth by the Board of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrators and Assisted Living Administrators.

The administrator develops and executes long-term strategic plans and day-to-day operational policies and procedures for the operation, management, and maintenance of the nursing home and assisted living. They ensure compliance with state and federal rules and regulations to ensure quality care and safety of residents and to protect their personal and property rights.

They work with the management team to train and manage all staff of the facility through subordinate managers and supervisors. They develop and oversee the facility budget and accounting system, market the facility to prospective residents and their families, and maintain effective public relations with the community at large and the health care community in particular.

They work to maintain a positive culture through employee retention initiatives, developing/coaching direct reports, and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

LTC has 57 beds and Assisted Living has 35 apartments.

  • Customer Service : A demonstrated passion for patient/resident centeredness with service. Aligns services, processes and procedures to meet service excellence for patients/residents as well as internal and external customer, vendors, and payers. Manages service recovery as well as written and verbal communication from the team towards all internal and external customers. Uses service framework in alignment with organizational directives.*

  • Growth and Facilities: Drives revenue increases and improves efficiency to reduce expenses. Uses systems thinking and collaboratively provides for and supports the marketing of the department and organization. Demonstrate knowledge, understanding, and compliance with all regulations set by external regulatory agencies and internal policies. Manages self, and is flexible, and able to quickly adapt to and lead change.*

  • Finance: Demonstrates the ability to plan, execute and monitor departmental financial functions. Prepares and manages budget, resources, and assets. Measures and monitors the success metrics for the assigned department.*

  • Community and Relationships : Demonstrate capacity of connecting with and serving the community and partners with the services of the organization both internally and externally. Supports the mission, vision and demonstrates the values of the organization. Builds trust and cultivates relationships both ethically and professionally.     Required Education and Experience

  • Requires Nursing Home and Assisted Living Administrator Licensure in MN.

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 3-5 years management experience

  • Proficiency with regulatory compliance

  • Administrator management experience
