Summary
Interns assist the organization with tasks set out by department team and work closely with different team members to learn more about healthcare and the organization. Understands the overall mission of the health system, including the brand, patients, residents, and clients of service lines.
Job Duties

May rotate through clinical departments. *
Work closely with mentor to complete tasks timely and efficiently. *
Clean and sterilize instruments. *
Prepare and pull charts. *
Transport patients/residents/clients. *
Clean, restock and prepare patient rooms.*
Collect healthcare data. *
Transport lab specimens. *
Enter computer data. *
Offer companionship. *
Maintain confidentiality. *
Provide nutritional services. *
Support activities for patients and residents.*
Learn and provide clinical diagnostics to support patient care.
Required Education and Experience
Must be completing junior or senior in high school and intending to complete graduation requirements OR currently pursuing a postsecondary healthcare degree not graduating in 2024.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Excellent organizational skills.
Strong written and oral communications skills.
Previous healthcare experience.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Internship starts as early as Memorial Day May 27, 2024 and ends by Labor Day September 2, 2024.
Supervisory Responsibility
None
Must complete criminal background check as required by the State of MN and drug screening per MLHS policy.
