Job Title: Controller, Vivid Clear Rx

Department: Operations

FLSA: Exempt

Position Description:

The Controller's responsibilities include; Financial statement preparation, monitoring and enforcing internal controls, and guiding financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures. The controller also oversees the Human Resources tasks.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Reports to work when scheduled and on time.

  • Adheres to company policies and departmental guidelines.

  • Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.

  • Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.

  • Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.

  • Develops and performs business performance metrics.

  • Coordinates and directs the preparation of the capital expenditure budget.

  • Works with Hy-Vee and independent auditors to ensure a full and complete review.

  • Prepares monthly Hy-Vee Consolidated Financial Statement Reports.

  • Works with VP, Operations to maintain Vivid Clear Rx’s employee handbook and update with any board-approved policy changes

Educational Requirements:

  • High school education, or equivalent, and B.A. in accounting required.

  • 3-5 years' experience in audit or accounting background is preferred

Licensure and Certification Requirements:

  • None required

Physical Requirements:

  • In an 8 hour day the employee may be asked to lift/carry 20lbs.

  • In an 8 hour day the employee may stand/walk approximately 1 hour.

  • In an 8 hour day the employee sits approximately 7 hours.

  • P.C., Office Telephone System, Microsoft Office Suite
