Planate Management Group LLC Electrical Engineer Intern in Olongapo, Philippines
Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.
As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will actively contribute to a variety of design-build projects. Under the guidance of experienced engineers, you will engage in essential engineering activities, such as research, design preparation, and analytical modeling.
This is a paid internship. The location of work is in Subic Bay, Zambales.
Key responsibilities:
Assist in the creation of electrical designs for buildings, ensuring compliance with industry standards and codes.
Collaborate with teams to integrate electrical systems into overall building designs and coordinate with company architects and engineers.
Conduct technical analyses and simulations to optimize electrical system performance and efficiency.
Participate in site visits and inspections to assess the implementation of electrical designs and address any issues that may arise during construction.
Update and manage Computer-Aided Design and Manufacturing (CADD/CAM) files to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Maintain technical drawings and specifications and ensure that documentation is up-to-date and accessible for project teams.
Conduct general troubleshooting of systems and equipment to provide valuable support and resolve technical issues.
Be responsible for data collection activities and assist in the preparation of comprehensive reports for project documentation.
Support quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with engineering standards and project requirements.
Stay informed about the latest advancements in engineering disciplines relevant to our projects.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Qualifications to be successful in the role:
Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or any relevant degree; open to fresh grads.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD software.
Strong communication skills in English, both written and oral, to effectively collaborate with team members.
Ability to follow instructions and work under the supervision of experienced engineers.
Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in design documentation and problem-solving.
Must be willing to work on-site in Subic, Zambales daily.
